The Resort at Pelican Hill Wedding | Megan & Tyler

This Pelican Hill wedding was truly a dream! Megan and Tyler are two extremely successful, warmhearted people who were such a pleasure to work with and to help bring their wedding vision to life. One of my favorite parts of planning weddings is seeing what traditions each couple decides to incorporate. For Megan and Tyler, it was amazing to see their nod to Megan’s Chinese heritage and also elements of their own relationship incorporated into their big day! For example, Megan was absolutely gorgeous in her red qipao during their tea ceremony. It’s fascinating to learn about the differences in wedding traditions from culture to culture, and in many Asian cultures, brides wear red since the color is associated with love, luck, and happiness. As for their wedding ceremony, we chose to highlight Pelican Hill’s iconic rotunda with a white color palette. Lush cherry blossom trees decorated the aisle, creating such a dreamy and pure scenery. Bloom Box Designs helped to create the gorgeous floral arrangements throughout the day. Their two adorable french bulldogs were part of the wedding too! —and we incorporated these lovable pups into their table chart monogram and reception name cards with the help of the talented Luxe Marie Stationary. While the focus of their ceremony was on the cherry blossoms, the reception had tons of cream wisteria blooms trailing from the ceiling. Megan and Tyler wanted to keep their decor extremely sleek and classy, which we were able to achieve sticking to white tones, pops of silver, and clear acrylic pieces. I loved how Megan changed into a gorgeous red satin gown for the reception—three different outfits for her wedding and she was an absolute stunner in all of them! The couple and all their guests had such a great time, and anyone could see how in love Megan and Tyler were. Congratulations to the happy couple!
