Montage Laguna Beach and waldorf astoria Monarch Beach Resort & club Wedding Weekend | Komal & Shalin

As many of you know, Indian weddings are not just a one day affair, but rather multiple days of festivities filled with love and laughter! We were fortunate enough to coordinate Komal and Shalin's Mehndi party, as well as their wedding and what a wonderful weekend it was!Day 1 Mehndi at Montage Laguna Beach – For the first day of celebrations, the families decided to have an oceanside Mehndi party on the lawn at the Montage Laguna Beach. Moroccan tents - expertly constructed by Raj Tents - were a major wow factor and created the perfect areas for Mehndi stations and lounge areas where guests were able to relax and enjoy the festivities. Lush florals and greenery from Bloom Box Designs, along with the seafoam and aqua blue draping and blue and white patterned linens perfectly complemented the gorgeous Pacific Ocean backdrop. It truly was a seaside dream!Day 2 Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Monarch Beach Resort - Komal and Shalin are obviously a gorgeous couple so madly in love with each other, and that love was apparent all throughout their wedding day. Komal was absolutely breathtaking in her custom made Sari from India that was complemented perfectly with jaw-dropping jewelry. These two shared such a sweet moment during their first look when Shalin gave Komal a special memory book that brought tears to her eyes – such a beautiful moment captured by Kiss Me In Paris. The bridal party group photo in front of the fountain is one of our favorites – such a fun group! The fun continued at the Baraat, as Shalin was led in by not just one, but two white horses from Enchanted Carriages, as well as a famous baraat band and dohl drummer from SF…talk about making an entrance! It was a wonderful way to begin the processional as they flew in a band from India to perform and sing during the ceremony. The ceremony was a vision of beauty with crystal chandeliers and gold lace and ivory chiffon draped over the iconic rotunda on the Monarch Beach Resort lawn. Lush cascading floral arrangements comprised of vibrant pinks, whites and hits of greenery popped against the rotunda and the white carpet runway that Komal so effortlessly floated down. Following the lovely traditional ceremony, guests had a break to freshen up and get prepared for a night full of fun and celebration. When it was time to reconvene for cocktails, dinner and dancing, guests were welcomed back with delicious hors d’oeuvres and dazzling drinks complete with a wine angel who poured wine for guests while hanging upside down from the ceiling! And the incredible details didn’t stop there. The ballroom was impeccably executed by Fayaz and his amazing team from Bloom Box Designs. The design was literally floor (hello white carpet!) to ceiling. During the reception, Komal and Shalin sat on a chic white tufted couch atop a white carpeted stage surrounded by floating candles in front of a flower wall backdrop. Not only was it the perfect place for the couple to take in the merriment of their guests, but it also allowed their guests to enjoy the beauty of Komal and Shalin as well. And if this night couldn’t get any sweeter, Cakes by Rumy created a six tier masterpiece that tasted as fabulous as it looked! It was such an honor to be a part of Komal and Shalin’s incredible wedding weekend and we are so happy that we can relive some of the magic of those days with these sensational photos from Kiss Me in Paris.
