The Honest Company Ultimate Baby Shower

It was such an honor to be a part of this Baby Shower hosted by The Honest Company for the deserving Mom, Jessica Turner. The Honest Company has effective, unquestionably safe eco-friendly products for babies and families. They believe every baby deserves the best that can be created for them. Honest has the chance to interview or guest of honor, Jessica Turner. Here is what they found out!

“Honest: Please share with us a little about your story and what it means to your family to win the shower.

Jessica: Almost a year and a half ago, one week before Christmas 2011, my downstairs neighbor and dear friend, Deanna collapsed in her home. Her son, Sean, came running upstairs to tell me that his mom, a single mother, needed help. When I found her, she was unresponsive and taking her very last breaths she would ever take on her own. Deanna died just a few days later from a Pulmonary Embolism. Sean has been with us since that night and after much discussion amongst our family and Sean’s, we decided to pursue permanent guardianship of Sean, which was granted in March of 2012. It has been a tough year dealing with all of our emotions in the wake of our loss. Sean had some pretty major behavioral problems that we have had to correct and also was incredibly far behind in school. I am so proud to say that, today, Sean is thriving in all respects and we are honored to call him our son.

Winning this shower was so unexpected and the word “humbling” doesn’t even come close to explaining it. My husband works 3 jobs to provide for us… I have never seen a man so tirelessly commit himself to his family….To be spoiled a little bit is incredibly fun! We are so grateful!”

We are so happy we got to be a part of this special time for Jessica and her family and friends. Thanks to a great team of vendors, we were able to make it a great Baby Shower for Jessica! Our inspiration of hippos was from The Honest Company’s new hippo designed diaper. Fayaz with Bloombox Designs made the vision in my head come to life!

Jessica was glowing all day, and thanks to Jessica Claire she will have photos from this special day that she can show baby Jonah one day.

Ronnie Woo and his team were such a pleasure to work with and the food was so fresh and yummy! Thanks so much Ronnie, can’t wait to work with you again!

Coordinator Confab 2013 Day 1, Montage Beverly Hills

Hosting Coordinator Confab each year really makes me think about how lucky we are to work with such great people. This event would not be possible without them! Montage Beverly Hills provided a beautiful venue to host this event, and not to mention amazing food! When the attendees arrived on Day 1 we knew right away they were a great group of girls eager to learn and grow in their careers as Coordinators. A HUGE thank you to all the attendees for coming out from all over Southern California, and even Florida! We appreciate your time and trust! Day 1 consisted of lots of inside information as well as presentations from our guest speakers. Rhonda Couchigian from Rayce PR is a social media wizard! She gave us the ins and outs of social media and taught the attendees tips and tricks about Public Relations. I always find myself taking notes in the back when we have presentations about Social Media! During our “tweet break” attendees snacked on some goodies which included yummy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies from A Wish and A Whisk, they were a hit! Our next guest speaker was George Nickels who is the Catering Manager at Montage Beverly Hills. Understanding BEOs and working well with hotels is a must in the Coordinator world, and George gave us the 411 on how to achieve that! Our final guest speaker for day 1 was Nisie Vorachard from Nisie’s Enchanted Florist, who also did all the decor for Day 1! Don’t you just love the moss Confab letters?! Nisie talked about the importance of knowing what goes on with florist’s production and the importance of knowing table and linen sizes. Thank you Rhonda, George, and Nisie for your time, energy, and friendship! Also, check out our customizable Confab totes! Thank you Wedding Chicks for the adorable totes for our attendees! Another shout out and thank you to all the guys at Shine Lighting for our AV both days of Confab, you guys rock!

Our goodies had the cutest custom packaging thanks to Rachel from Rachel Jane Couture. Rachel also provided the attendees with extremely useful handouts all about the proper way to address envelopes! I also need to give a huge thank you to Ngoc Nguyen Lay, the author of Inspired Celebrations, a book all about hosting a flawless party. She was sweet enough to donate a book to each attendee, along with a personalized note!

Fayaz, from Bloom Box Designs, and I had so much fun going up to LA and picking out fabric for our runners and our pillows! Thank you so much for making those, Fayaz, the attendees loved them!

Thank you again to all of our guest speakers on Day 1 for making it such a success!

Yasmin & Dhruve make an awesome couple, and I am looking forward to their wedding coming up this Summer! For their engagement photos Yasmin & Dhruve wanted to take photos outside at the historic Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Julie Anne & Michael’s Wedding Featured on Style Unveiled

Who doesn’t love a panoramic view of the city?! Julie Anne & Michael’s wedding was a little less typical than we are used to seeing with an indoor ceremony and an outdoor reception. Julie Anne & Michael wed inside the church, followed by a dinner reception outdoors with the gorgeous LA city views on the rooftop at The London West Hollywood. Many thanks to Kristi Klemens with KLK Photography for these great shoots. It was rad to see their wedding featured on Style Unveiled’s Wedding Blog!

Kellie’s Baby Shower, The Montage Laguna Beach

I wanted to share some photos from my best friend, Kellie’s, baby shower I had the honor of hosting! Kellie has been one of my friends from growing up and when it came time to plan her baby shower, I was so excited to plan a design around the Peter Rabbit children’s stories! The shower was held outside at the Montage Laguna Beach, and we had a long table dressed up with books, block letters, different fabrics, ribbons, and containers. I think one of the best finishing touches to the decor was the sweet chair covers…they were adorable. It was a great afternoon and a special day I will always cherish. Thank you to Farhad Samari for the photos!

Rozita & Ron’s Wedding, The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel

Rozita & Ron had a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. They had a traditional Persian ceremony with a beautiful sofreh adorned with complimenting decor that was fresh and organic. They kept the ceremony design inspired by nature with a color palette of greens, white and other neutral colors. I loved how they had white cherry blossom trees frame the sofreh…it was an enchanting setting! For the reception they added in one of Rozita’s favorite colors, purple, and had shades of lavender to brighter hues of purple with all the greenery. Rozita & Ron make a beautiful couple and I love the photos captured by Victor Sizemore, Victor Sizemore Photography! Congrats to Rozita & Ron.

Often times when we have brides from different states come to California for a destination wedding they tend to be outdoors. Jackie is a Washington girl who had her wedding at the gorgeous Resort at Pelican Hill. All her life Jackie envisioned an indoor candle-lit ceremony that resembles a lush garden. It was so fun to see her dream come to life on the wedding day!
