The Resort at Pelican Hill Wedding | Alix & Ben

Alix, Ben, and their families are beyond sweet... words cannot describe what a true honor it is to know them and to have been able to help them celebrate this special time! Alix & Ben met at Ben's surf shop in La Jolla the day that Alix came in and asked for surfing lessons. The surf shop does not typically offer lessons, but Ben just couldn't say no to Alix and wanted to do whatever he could to spend time with her. Their love blossomed from that moment on. Alix & Ben married on a beautiful October day at The Resort at Pelican Hill. With majority of Alix's family being from cold Canada, it was refreshing for them to spend a couple of days in the hot California sun. The couples vision for the day was classic elegance. We went with a very neutral color palette of mostly whites and creams with lush greenery. White Lilac created a stunning chuppah that overlooked the Pelican Hill golf course as well as the ocean. The florals were grand and beautiful and framed the two of them perfectly under their chuppah. After cocktail hour, guests headed over to the Mar Vista Ballroom where the simple and classic look carried on. The long mercury mirrored tables paired with the silver chiavari chairs added a hint of shine into the room. I love the draped off section with the tie backs that reveal the mirrored bar.
